For quite a while now, I’ve been writing music during doctor visits and hospital stays. It helps me stay focused and engaged while dealing with health issues. Some people journal, and I compose music. It’s my way of keeping the creative side of my mind active when the rest of life slows down.
Over the years, I’ve written more than a hundred pieces. Many are shaped by the experience of being in medical spaces—some serious, others more playful. A lot of the titles come from odd things I’ve overheard or found later while reading through medical terms. A nurse might mention something unusual. I might spot a word on a chart. That one word can send me down a rabbit hole. Some of the titles end up being strangely funny because of that.
Music From the Doctor's Office is a collection born from those moments. Each track captures a small slice of life, from waiting rooms and passing conversations to quiet moments in between. It’s not meant to be emotional or dramatic, just a reflection of how I keep creating, even in the most unexpected places.
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making them.
